In a recent video upload, entertainment analyst Andre Einherjar, the founder of the Midnight's Edge YouTube channel, expressed his criticism towards South Park creators Trey Parker and Matt Stone for not targeting Kevin Feige and Marvel Studios in their special episode titled "South Park: Joining the Panderverse." Einherjar argued that while their lampooning of Kathleen Kennedy and Lucasfilm was noteworthy, the focus should have been on Feige and Bob Iger, suggesting that their actions have had a detrimental impact on the Marvel franchise.

Einherjar began by stating that South Park's critique of Kennedy came too late and that the damage has already been done. He argued that targeting her years ago might have made a difference, but now it is unlikely that the Star Wars brand will fully recover. He urged the South Park creators to direct their efforts toward the parts of Disney where there is still a chance for constructive change, namely Bob Iger and Kevin Feige.

Einherjar contended that Iger, as Kennedy's superior, could have stopped her actions at Lucasfilm but failed to do so effectively. While he prevented further movies, he did not prevent her from doubling down on Disney+. Einherjar deemed Iger equally responsible for the situation.

Furthermore, Einherjar criticized Kevin Feige for supposedly repeating the same pattern of failure seen with Kennedy at Lucasfilm. He claimed that Feige's decisions at Marvel Studios have led to the decline of the once-successful franchise. Einherjar pointed out Feige's embrace of altering the genders, sexualities, and ethnicities of characters from the comics as a contributing factor to this decline. Additionally, he cited Feige's statement that making Phastos gay in the film "Eternals" was just the beginning for gay characters in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

The entertainment analyst praised South Park for its takedown of Kathleen Kennedy, acknowledging the show's mockery of the social messaging infused into Star Wars and Marvel. He suggested that the episode exposed Disney's focus on shareholder value rather than genuine change.

The South Park: Joining the Panderverse special has received high praise from audiences, currently holding an 8.0 out of 10 rating on IMDb. The episode is available for streaming on Paramount+.

While Einherjar expressed his disappointment in Trey Parker and Matt Stone's decision to not target Kevin Feige and Bob Iger, the impact of his criticism remains to be seen.

Overall, Einherjar's critique reflects a perspective on South Park's missed opportunity to address the impact of Feige and Iger's actions on the Marvel franchise.
