In an appearance on "The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon," Donald Glover shared the story of his attempt to seek advice from Brad Pitt regarding his upcoming series adaptation of "Mr. & Mrs. Smith." However, Glover revealed that Pitt had charmingly declined to offer any real pointers.

The 2005 action-comedy film, directed by Doug Liman and starring Pitt alongside his former partner Angelina Jolie, served as the inspiration for Glover's new project. Hoping to gain insights, Glover decided to approach Pitt for guidance on how to tackle the iconic roles. However, Pitt, known for his charisma, seemingly Brad Pitt-ed his way out of the conversation.

"He didn't give me any real pointers," Glover admitted during his interview with Fallon. "He kind of just charmed his way out. He was like, 'Yeah, you know, you'll do great.'"

Interestingly, Glover confessed that he had not watched the original film until recently, wanting to establish his own vision for the series beforehand. Reflecting on his initial meeting with Pitt, Glover humorously remarked, "I hadn't at the time. I've seen it, obviously, by now. It'd be scary if I hadn't. It'd be like, 'Oh, that's what this is about? Spies?'"

Joining Glover on "The Tonight Show" was his co-star Maya Erskine, adding to the excitement surrounding the upcoming "Mr. & Mrs. Smith" series. The highly anticipated show is set to start streaming on February 2nd, giving fans a chance to see how Glover and Erskine bring a fresh take to the beloved characters.

As the premiere date approaches, fans eagerly await Glover's interpretation of "Mr. & Mrs. Smith," curious to see how he and his talented team reinvent the action-packed spy story for the small screen. While Pitt's guidance may have been amiss, Glover's charm and creativity are sure to make this adaptation one to watch.
