"Severance" had halted production for its second season in May, when the Writers Guild of America (WGA) went on strike, followed by the SAG-AFTRA walkout. However, with both strikes now resolved, the production of the series is back on track.

Created and written by Dan Erickson and Stiller, "Severance" follows the story of Mark Scout, played by Adam Scott, who leads a team at Lumon Industries. The employees at Lumon Industries undergo a unique severance procedure that separates their memories between their work and personal lives, exploring the concept of "work-life balance." As Mark finds himself at the center of a mysterious unraveling, he is forced to confront the true nature of his work and himself.

The cast of "Severance" is led by Adam Scott alongside acclaimed actors such as Patricia Arquette, John Tuturro, Britt Lower, Zach Cherry, Dichen Lachman, Jen Tullock, Tramell Tillman, Michael Chernus, and Christopher Walken. Joining for the second season are Gwendoline Christie, Bob Balaban, Merritt Wever, Alia Shawkat, Robby Benson, Stefano Carannante, Ólafur Darri Ólafsson, and John Noble.

Erickson serves as the sole writer of the series, with Mark Friedman, Chris Black, John Cameron, and Andrew Colville serving as executive producers alongside him.
