Actor Gary Graham, Known for Alien Nation and Star Trek, Passes Away at 73

In a saddening turn of events, veteran actor Gary Graham, famous for his roles in Alien Nation and Star Trek, has passed away at the age of 73. The news of his death was announced by his ex-wife, actress Susan Lavelle, on Facebook, although no cause of death was specified.

Born on June 6, 1950, in Long Beach, California, Graham began his acting career in the mid-1970s with recurring roles in popular TV shows such as Eight Is Enough, Starsky and Hutch, Police Woman, and The Incredible Hulk. Throughout the 1980s, he had notable appearances in CHiPs, The Dukes of Hazzard, and the hit series Moonlighting.

However, it was in 1989 that Graham landed his signature role as Detective Matthew Sikes in the television series Alien Nation. Although the series lasted only one season, he went on to portray the character in various TV movies such as Alien Nation: Dark Horizon (1994) and Alien Nation: Body and Soul (1995). Graham also embraced the Star Trek universe, with his role as Vulcan Ambassador Soval in Star Trek: Enterprise from 2001.

Throughout his career, Graham appeared in several other TV shows, including Dragner, Sheena, JAG, and Nash Bridges. He also made a significant impact in the film industry, with notable credits like his role as Tom Cruise's character's brother in All the Right Moves (1983).

Lavelle described Graham as an amazing actor, devoted father, and proud Christian. She expressed her devastation over his sudden passing and requested prayers for their daughter, Haylee, as she copes with grief. Graham is survived by his wife, Becky, and his daughter Haylee.
