Nottingham Forest and Newcastle United faced off in a heated Premier League match at The City Ground in Nottingham. The game ended with a final score of 2-3 in favor of Newcastle United.

The match started with both teams displaying their attacking intent. However, it was Newcastle United who drew first blood in the 10th minute. Bruno Guimarães capitalized on a brilliant set-piece delivery from Kieran Trippier to volley the ball into the net.

Nottingham Forest responded swiftly in the 26th minute when Anthony Elanga found himself in a great position to receive a pass from Morgan Gibbs-White. Elanga made no mistake and slotted the ball past the goalkeeper to equalize.

But Newcastle United regained their lead just before halftime. Fabian Schär fired a powerful shot that found its way through two Forest defenders and beat goalkeeper Matz Sels.

However, Forest managed to level the score right at the stroke of halftime. Callum Hudson-Odoi struck a shot that took a deflection off Lewis Miley, deceiving the Newcastle goalkeeper and making it 2-2.

The second half saw a contentious moment when Taiwo Awoniyi went down in the box after a tussle with the goalkeeper and defender. The referee did not award a penalty, much to Forest's frustration.

In the 66th minute, Bruno Guimarães scored his second goal of the match to complete his brace. The Brazilian midfielder unleashed a beautiful strike from distance, finding the bottom corner to put Newcastle United in the lead once again.

Despite Forest's efforts to find an equalizer, they were unable to break through Newcastle's defense. The match ended with a 2-3 victory for Newcastle United.

The referee, Anthony Taylor, received heavy criticism throughout the match from both sets of fans and social media users. Many believed he made several incorrect decisions, including missing a stamp and failing to call fouls correctly.

Despite the controversial decisions, Newcastle United secured their fourth consecutive away win. Bruno Guimarães was hailed as the standout player of the match, while Forest's defense was heavily criticized for their lapses.

Both teams will now focus on their respective upcoming matches. Nottingham Forest will face West Ham United, while Newcastle United will take on AFC Bournemouth in the Premier League.
